Makes me wonder that the Xbox is the actual console for the AC franchise. Aside 1 or 2 games that doesn’t run at 60fps, everything else runs smooth as butter cream. I’ve finished 7 games already and faced only 1 game crashing bug in the early days of Valhalla. Everything else was top notch. Assassins creed a 2009 game ran at 4K 60fps.
Odyssey runs far better on PS5 than on PC. Still, I don't really care, as the PS5 is my choice for gaming. PC hardware is ridiculously expensive and the majority of newest games run like crap compared to consoles anyway. I've paid ÂŁ480 for my PS5, which isn't even a fraction of what I'd pay for a PC able to run Mirage for example.
Opening cutscene in Origins hovers mostly in the 50-55fps range on PS5 and Series X; Series S runs all real-time cutscenes at 30fps in Odyssey, 60fps in Origins; Some of the cloth animations and water effects still run at 30fps; The game's pre-encoded cutscenes are still at 30fps, often with bad framepacing.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage runs great in Performance Mode. It achieves a pretty sweet 60 fps, but some parts of the game lose a lot of detail and end up looking straight out of the last gen. Still
AC Odyssey didn’t have 60fps on any consoles so I’ve read but they’re currently working on a 60fps patch now. Valhalla has a 60fps toggle. AC 3 remastered has a 60fps toggle too. I’m not sure about Origins.
A mode in the newest AC games that can be accesed through the main menu, it's an educational tour of the most important areas in each game and talks about the culture, daily life, tradition and developer commentary on what they chose to take artistic liberties on (btw did you know that Eivor from AC Valhalla was inspired by Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell? it's one of the many tidbits
